I'm going to try to make it up there, my truck has been out of commision for quite a while, but last week I threw in the towel and towed it to the dealership ( rear axle is locked up) so hopefully it will get back on the road this week. If its done by then I'm going to try to make it up for one day at least, and possibly camp up there. I'm going to try to drag my buddy who just bought an FJC along as well.

Got the trailer rebuilt and fitted to the Dodge Saturday..... half a box of welding sticks later. Gotta do some clean up with the wire feed if the wind ever lets up. Then I can paint it and work on fitting the camper back on it.... We should be able to make it.

Glad to read the Taco is going to live. Come out if just for a day, and bring your buddy. I probably won't get out there till Sat. morn.

What did you have to do to it?

Add 7" of steel channel to upright section of the gooseneck.... of course to do that we had to cut the original piece out and weld in a new one..... nothings ever easy :bang:

She it's fairly level again

was it bent before? Thats a decent size trailer too.

well that makes since. how is the 10lug conversion doing? looks like you have had it a while.

Picking up my Taco from the stealer today, had them go through the rear axle, new locker 3rd, rear brakes and wheel bearings/ axle seals.:grinpimp:
problem was that it was only putting power to one wheel yet it was acting like it was locked I figured it might be a broken axle, turned out being the collar the axle slides into on the 3rd. I'm bouncing off the walls here, its been so f#cking long since I have driven this thing in working order I can't wait to go pick it up and fill it with gas.
The locker still isn't working, but its in the wiring so i'm just going to get Off Road Solutions elocker harness, all I have to do now is throw in a new diff in front and it will be ready to wheel, so I should be able to make it up there!

Dinner

We need to get a count for dinner Saturday night. I'm good for the beef for the burritos as well as a skillet to warm tortillas on.

I'll be there, but will not be burrito'ing.

I'm going to be there on saturday and i will most likely stay for dinner. I might try to make it up on friday and camp, not sure. I should have one passenger and might have an FJ trying to keep up with me with most likely 2 people in it. Not sure if you guys charge for your runs these days, and I know I need to renew my membership just let me know if I need to pay you before hand or if I can just do it there. I'm exited to run with you guys again, i don't even want to think about how long its been since I have wheeled, I hope I remember how!

Biltong

Not even a biltong burrito? I can bring some taco shells if you'd like.

Everyone else is going what the heck is Biltong..... me, my mouth waters.... Soon I will have some again. Hunting season is upon us.

I'm bringing a zebra roast:eek:.
