Semi annual update.
Went to potts. Didn't break anything. Potts is a good trial.
Went to the clcc fall crawl and snapped my front sway bar mount five minutes into the first hard trail on the first day. The mount flipped forward and took out my front pass hard brake line and lost all my fluid. Limped it back to camp and used one of those emergency brake line bolts from delta to get into town to buy parts. I don't recommend driving in traffic with only thee working brakes. I got a replacement line sort of and just pulled the sway bar off and was able to wheel the rest of the weekend.
I now carry a few different lengths of hard line and a bender with me.
Soon after my club started talking about a trip to Moab and I committed before I was sure the truck could make it.
I Spent the next 6ish months dumping time and money into getting the thing as ready as a 30 year old Toyota could be to drive across the country and back.
Partial list not in the correct order:
fuel filter
fuel pump
throttle cable
fuel pressure regulator
Fuel pressure relay
Efi relay
Air filter
Throttle body gasket
Intake tube
Blue fan clutch from land tank ( the rock auto aisin died).
Plus some other parts I'm forgetting.
I also pulled the entire intake and tb and cleaned them really well. All the little vacuum lines underneath were replaced with OEM. Plus a new eval vsv and check Valve because they failed testing.
I ditched the drawers and got an interior tire carrier. The drawers were too heavy and I was carrying too much crap in them.
I like this better, mostly. Keeps me from having to build a swing out and hang a bunch of weight back there and I lost about 200lbs.
I also regeared it with revolution 4:88's.
I had a lot of help from
@matzell and
@landshark9 with the swap. Thanks guys.
I put some TG chromoly axles in during the regear.
