Gonna redo my CV boots. All you speed CVers lemme know.

I provide the beer. Plan on just throwing it up on jack stands and going for it in a few hours. Been in these before so I don't think it will take too long.

May try and borrow a lift/shop if I can to do the work myself.

First I have to figure out the friggin parts for a Lexus so I don't get the wrong thing!

I gotta do mine(4runner) as well, but first have to finish rebuilding my calipers. When are you planning on doing this?

I am out for next weekend due to party planning.
I get a great deal on toyota parts at toyotapartsbarn.com (no affiliation on my end)
They have great prices and quick turnaround.
Next weekend. Gonna get parts this week.

Well, due to my travel and the holidays I can't do it before the new year (boo!) so I am getting some beefy hose clamps I saw on the FJ forums and doing a temp fix for now. Will be doing the full monty next year, probably when I do the next set of mods in Feb.

May creep in on this if no one minds. Ive got one with a little leaking out and woud like to see the CV pulled apart. In case you are wondering I was your "FJ For Scale" at Snowbird.:flipoff2:
Keep me posted.
Jake

Most likely going to happen in Jan if I can't stop the leak with new bands. If I can stop it I can hold out till spring.

I'm going to get some on order. Did the thread from the FJ Forum have 2 McMaster part numbers? SEA size 62 for the large and SEA size 18 for the small. Im assuming yours are the same since you got this info over there.

Yep...the mcmaster parts are the ones.

I took off the bands, pulled the large end off the joint, cleaned it out (highly water contaminated) and refilled with good stuff. Work it back into place, clean up the mess, and band her up.

I did the small one first so the boot wouldn't shift when I played around will filling, etc.
