Count me in for a '72 gear.

Remember folks, when this comes up it will come up fast. I DON'T have a crystal ball so YOU need to tell me which gear you want or need. If you get the wrong one it'll be YOUR problem so if you're not sure find out now. There will be NO refunds and no re-orders.

The early gear is probably only in trucks that have NEVER had the gear replaced and then only early trucks. Toyota supplied the late gear as a replacement for many years so even a '69 could have the later gear. How many of us have owned our piggy since new and KNOW the ENTIRE service history?

Yep, just as I thought, VERY few. So CHECK THE GEAR BEFORE ORDERING ONE!!

Also, I will not have time to go through to alert everyone if this is a go. You need to be on it to check if this is going to go ahead. Subscribe to the thread, get a feed, whatever you need to do.

Sweet, I'm in for a 78. I'll keep an eye on this one!

I flaked on this last time, won't do it this time.

I'm in for a '78

I am in for a 79

Early 55 Late Gear

I've got a 1971 but I need the late gear I just did a replacement and know the gear well. Please put me in for a late gear! Thanks much for helping us all out!

Im definently in for a '76 gear

Me too...

Pulled my two mechanisms apart..both need the late gears and it turns out one was already there. So I'm definitely in for one.

I will need a 75 gear. Have one installed already, but I can always use a spare.

I am in for a 69 and a 78!

I am in for a 79.

Thanks

If these are really getting made again, I would go for one for my 1972.

I would pull your window assembly apart and make sure which gear you have. I have a '72 and it had the later model gear instead of the earlier one.

YES!! EVERYONE considering ordering a gear needs to do this. There is NO guarantee that just because you have an early truck that you also have an early gear! There are only two gears that I am aware of. The early keyed one and the later, MUCH more common one with the flats. When we offer these that's what we'll offer keyed or unkeyed gears. The unkeyed are EXACTLY like what I made earlier. Any picture of a brass gear in this thread it's an unkeyed, later model gear.

There will be NO redos or returns because you did not check and ordered the wrong gear.
