Finally reading the thread.......and "commie" @KWalkerM said no guns??!! What the heck!! Sorry I'm just too American!!! :)Does anybody know where I can do some shooting without scaring the commie 4wheelers! Or will the Sheriffs so up no matter what. or am I getting banned from the trip? :ban:lol.

You can shoot in the forest. You can't shoot in camp. I don't know who it was, but that was just bad form, not to mention illegal.

I carried my 45 almost the whole time last year nobody said anything, I think he's talking about the guns being fired on the back of little gold lake although it looked like a safe area to shoot, its still considered camping area.

Cool, I'm a responsible owner! I'll be very far away from any of campgrounds. Just wondering about the Sheriff.

No sir. Just look for lots of land cruisers!

I'm rolling Thursday morning, any special land marks or rigs I should paying attention to?

I have two bright pink tents. My cruiser may not be there if I go for a MTB ride into Downieville, probably between 9 and 1 or so. I'm going to try to score two sites when I arrive on Wednesday night at midnight, so the idea is one tent in each. We'll see how that goes.

More pink than this, but you get the idea:

I'm hoping to get out of San Jose around 6am Friday morning, but with a few friends coming along... it may be a little later than that. I usually try to be passing through Downieville around 11am.

Me + 2 little ones.
Thanks to armory for the breaky!!
We had more than enough beer last time, but the ice ended up melting, so if someone has a jockey box.... Or a volunteer to run into town for ice on sat morning...

I'm probably rocking the soft top this year. Same pink though.

Don't forget to get a campfire permit. Fires are not allowed, but you need one for any type of stove as well.

Maybe @The Machinist could add this to the front page?
