Hey so I'm new to this forum but was told about this trail run by a couple people that went last year... And was curious if you guys cared if I tagged along in my lightly modified FJ Cruiser...

Hey, that famous dude from IG found us, welcome! You should definitely make the trip. Bring that insane 3rd gen 4Runner too

How Toyota shoud have made the FJ.....nice man!

Still no updates as far as getting the shirt graphic moved to the front of the shirt. Teespring can be frustrating sometimes...

I sent them a pretty professional email that got the point across and since friday, i've heard no response. I did finally receive the sweatshirt and it had the correct location as far as the logo goes.

I don't get how they F'd it up in the first place. Must've had a bad batch of whatever they're smoking for a week or two and ending up thinking that printing on the back of a shirt would be ideal. -_-

But other than that? The truck is just about ready to go on a trip, and i'm getting anxious as well.

I had Chance @ Califab do the rear suspension on the 4Runner. Its been swapped from chevy 63s, 4.5-5" blocks no bump stops and dual shackles to allpro 6" springs, a single shackle and bump stops. I can already tell the difference from just road mannerisms that its a much more stable ride and the truck doesn't lean as heavy in the turns as it used to.

Here's some pictures. Obviously the springs have some breaking in to do, which i'm expecting a lower ride height anyway.

DUDES! I so want to go!! I'm gonna start planning for it but might be cutting it short...

Hope to see you up there!

I'll try to get the front page updated this weekend.

I was thinking of doing it on Thursday. I'm scheduled to arrive up there on Wednesday night around midnight. I could be talked into doing it again on Friday, perhaps, if it was really early and you were shuttling us up to the saddle. I'm not planning to ride up gold lake OHV this trip. Let me know which way you want to go and I'll do something different on Thursday.

How about a couple self-shuttles on Mills Peak Tr?

Here's one I've never done, Spencer Lakes: https://www.strava.com/segments/9591217
That would hook up with Lavezzola Cr Tr: https://www.strava.com/segments/1710244

Mills Peak, Spencer Lakes and Lavezzola may be our best options. Go ahead and do the downhill on Thursday though, since I probably wont be able to give you a solid answer now on if I can ride or not... its going to depend on who comes with me, and I might not know exactly until the last minute.

Also, for those of you that like beer, I got an email today saying that they would be packaging a fresh batch two days before the trip, and one of those is ours. So it will pretty much be as fresh as it gets!

Did you see Ammo's post a few days ago? They're sending out new shirts to everybody. Might not be here in time for the trip though.

Yeah, I saw his post, but i'd like to have the damn shirts before the trip! Which I sent them an email regarding that, but didn't receive a response :(

Just received an email from Natalie, who is handling our case at Teespring.com regarding the T-shirts.

According to what she said, EVERYONE that ordered a shirt from the Cruiser Gold Rush campaign will be receiving a new shirt and they ship out on the 16th. Here's her email:

After chatting with the OP.... GKC Armory is going to put a breakfast together for the group.... Most likely going to be Saturday morning
The menu:
Breakfast burritos with eggs bacon, hash browns and cheese. Sides will most likely be Fruit Salad and or Biscuits and Gravy...

All we need is a head count of who's in.. I am thinking that the OP can update. Just so I know how many burritos we need to make..

You sir may have just helped me make up my mind right there.
