cross over questions

i have a bunch of 86 p/u parts that i need to move.
i also have a buddy with an early 90's truck(not a taco).
how much of the chassis stuff will cross over?
tranny/tcase, rears, and front axles w/cv's mainly.

The front ends are the same, CV's Diffs etc. The rear axles might have different spring perch widths, but the rear diffs and axle shafts should be the same...

Drive shafts will vary depending on if the trucks are long beds, extra cabs, or standard cabs etc. And what transmissions they have will have some effect on drive shafts as well. so yes a lot of parts will swap but probably not everything unless the trucks are the same setup.

everything involved is standard cab/short bed. about the only difference, would be i had r motors his is an re.
how many different trannies are there?
he could really use one of them.

Your 86 will have a G52, maybe a G54 trans, and his will have a W56, to swap between the 2 you might have to swap the cross members as well. Though the W56 is a bit better than the G52...
