Is that engine bay right for a 79? Looks older based on the air cleaner but it does have power steering. Did 55s had different setups than 40s of the same vintage?

A brand new Vintage Air will cost almost the same price as that used OEM A/C. If doing a restoration or trying to keep it 100% OEM, I guess that might be worth it.

Any concerns about the rocker panel rust in the sixth picture?
I would be concerned, I've picked up my rig about the same condition and it was fairly rusty. Went to a shop in Fairfax that had sprayed under body protection a tar and rubbery texture and regret using it. I think it used to be called Ziebart but it looks just like the photos in the ad, it was nice at first then started to rust even more and flake off.
