Ummm, I don't think it's an FJ40. FJ25? Might be titled as a 1963, but ... I would like to see the VIN.

strange! it looks like an FJ25 tub and FJ40 for the rest of it. 25's didn't have bezels and ended in 1960. 9 forward gears and 3 reverse? an overdrive unit maybe? I would not say it's very original. more of a mix of different years. engine may be original F. with an overdrive it could possibly get to 85...downhill with a tail wind!:D

edit:also FJ25's had the spare tire mounted on the side of the tub. not a swing out.

Jolly good luck on his getting $5K for that; I don't think so.

It looks like a 1963 FJ40 Factory Soft Top FST...that explains the rounded door openings and tail gate.

The top on it is a 1961 to 1965.5 factory corrugated hard top which was made to fit the soft top tub, but the doors are custom made as there were no doors for rounded openings.

The original F135 was touted as being able to cruise 85 all day long...check youtube for vintage Toyota commercials...this must be where he got that from.

If it is rust free, it would be a pretty rare rig, and worth the money asked, and worth to restore properly...only if it is still all original. A newer engine would decrease the value, as these older rigs had the original engine number stamped on the vin plate on the firewall

Wish it was closer.........

Again, under that primer might be a true gem for a purist like myself...wish it was closer...
