"I just ran it with some friends a few weeks back. Words of caution bring lots of recovery gear including multiple winches and be prepared for damage. The trail is completely washed out and almost impassible. Also plan on normal 8 hours taking 12-16. Depends on your rig and experience. Leatherwood wilderness near the buffalo and white river confluence. I might go do a recon run tuesday wednesday but i am out in may. Got sims the weekend your looking at.

gonna meet Bomar for lunch and discuss some route options, there is so much in that area, the one above is a decent route, mainly gravel roads with a couple good stretches around the n fork of the illonois bayou , one draw back or positive, is that it starts at wullom on the buffalo river, that's a neat area and has a couple crossings that could be deep depending on river levels at the time, but its a long ways for you guys to go to start or if ya end there, it could be a long drive home

19th be in hot springs that night. Dover AR at 10am Friday am. Due to route max 10 trucks we are at 5 firm with 2 maybes.

Last week of August Ouachita Opine::::

I am considering peeling out on 26 Aug and exploring through the afternoon of the 28th. (got business in Little Rock 29-30)

Anybody going to be in the Little Rock/Hot Springs/Ouchita area or want to start planning? I am looking at forest roads, tent camping, beer drinking, fly fishing as far as time goes....more interested in being "away" than covering ground per say.

@MEMCruiser took me on some beautiful roads a few years ago and I want to repeat for a couple of days.

I know it's a hard sell as it's hot and usually you have fire bands.....but.......OPINE!!!!
