Trailer/Camper will carry a fair bit of gear, but only sleep 2. Build is scheduled for July-SCC given I don't damage the GunRunner in Moab. It will be ridin on Cameron's old 33x10.50 BFG ATs with stock springs and extended shackles. It will not be built for anything more than a level 1 trail (dirt road between the pavement and parking spot).

I'm cool for skipping the overnight. I was scrambling to figure out how to power my c-pap anyway. Any chance we can get a refund?

Huh?

Hopefully everyone will get a pap smear b4 Moab ...

Perv..

I think Sheila can ride with Georg.

even though i really appreciate that notion, i think i'd better pass. however, if sheila has any single and desperate sisters then i'm all game! i'm gonna need somebody to change my depends when i get old. that might be any day now.....

one more reason: less chance of sheila getting revenge by spilling wine cooler or some other girly drink on me!:princess:

one more: she's already long forgotten about my meger existance.

need i go on......

georg

ps: lenny, take that as a compliment. you know it is.

about the over-nighter:

not for me due to the driving distance and the fact that i'll be in the 40, not the 4runner. i don't mind packing the camping gear and i think we're a lot more used to that idea out here in the west, but i don't think i'd make it on fuel and driving that far on pavement ain't for me. not in that heat and in that rig.

but please don't let that influence anybody's decision weather to run a 2-day trip or not. i'm merely there to hang out and wheel, not to tell anybody how to run their gig.

i'm just stoked to go to moab with a bunch of friends and not with the "organized event". i ain't doin that. most definetly not. :flipoff2:

I would not do that to you. Ever. She has a half sister and she is the devil incarnate.

.. the fact that i'll be in the 40, not the 4runner.

Oh and which 40 will that be :hhmm:

:bounce:

Not at all. When Greg told me he was not going today at lunch and then I went and packed for the Scout trip, I was like WTF are we doing????

Lash, I could not ever get those guys on the phone at Canyonlands, but you might try to call them and leave a message. They may reverse charges for you.

I am going to donate mine to the NP since it sounds like no one cares one way or another.

then it's done. Den Mom was quite happy with the news of skipping the overnight, as she had been worrying about all the extra junk we would haul all the way out to Moab for just one overnight trip.
Its gonna be alot of fun.

Georg glad you are making it!

Nolen, How much do I owe you for the contribution to the park?

Lenny,

I think Georg is interested in Sheila's half sister.

i already married a "devil" and that did'nt exactly work out so i'm gonna bow out gracefully. but then again, i do need a warm FEMALE body to cuddle up with at moab so charlie won't do! :grinpimp:

anyways, stoked about the trip. good times and epic memories ahead.

We will have to hook you up with a mountain hippie. no not greg. a female maybe?

I am glad we are not doing the overnite.. more trails to conquer!

Its probably what i loved most about the trails in moab each one is different. When we went to the Grand Canyon and hiked down it was the same view for hours. even though it was beautiful it got old after awhile...

Isn't there a place in Moab with sand dunes?! that would be sweet! That would be a first for me

Uhhh not cool to post up while your drunk ..

You with your bunco group tonite?

2 ginatonics does not make us normal sized people drunk

it wasn't bunco it was bingo....bunco is mondays

so i think i'm gonna try to stay till thursday afternoon but then i gotta haul ass outta there.

what's the schedule nolen? pritchett on thursday? please. pretty please!

...I just packed for one night with Will and Me to go Boy Scout camping and the amount of gear I am comfortable with on an overnight is a LOT of stuff. I am not sure I will have room for 4 people and all the gear. I know I can "rough" it a bit more than I am planning to, but I am not sure I want to....

I know what you mean... When I was a Boy Scout, I was able to go backpacking for two weeks out of one backpack, and that covered temps from 30-90 degrees, rain or shine. Now, I have to fill the truck up for an overnighter.

Hey neighbors... sorry for the bother. I know a snowball has a better chance in hell, but if anyone by chance would have a spot on a trailer for a Troopy to go to Moab, there's a nice mud member that would like to trade out Matilda if we could work it out ahead of time.... I'd be more than happy to help pay for fuel costs...

Was worth a try... thanks so much.
I hope you guys enjoy your trip, be safe and take a bunch of pictures....especially if the BSLCA guys give up something we could put in the "Thread of Shame"..lol.

Pritchett is on Thursday, yes.

PSM-Golden Spike on Monday

Tuesday-Hell's Revenge and then whatever folks want to do...maybe run up to Arches.

Wednesday-Elephant Hill

Thursday-Pritchett (early start)

Friday-Whatever we decide.....

I like this plan. Lots of wheeling.

I am thinking after the long day on Monday, if our riders want to sit it out they can hang out while we go to Hell's Revenge. They may want to come, may not.

Elephant is a long day...lots of wheeling and side hikes on that one. Petroglyphs, Butch Cassidy lore and the river confluence. One of the coolest trails in the country in my opinion.

Pritchett will be a long day with a bunch of wagons but we will winch a bunch....

Friday we can do behind the rocks or Moab Rim before some of us head out.

Can't wait......
