Just finishing up my Heater Core replacement on my 1995 80. As I am buttoning things up I realized there is an empty relay spot on top of the Cooing Unit, I only have one relay plugged in. I looked at Alia 176's cooling unit thread on his cooling unit R&R on his 1997 and he has two relays in place. Confused I checked the FSM for 95 and 96 and both only show 1 relay. Out of curiosity what is the second relay for? Pics below and yes you can change the heater core without removing the cooling unit and discharging the AC.

Cooling unit out of my 93. Only one relay. I know this does not answer your question but it seems yours is normal.

Thanks for the confirmation that I won't be going back in to replace a relay now that I am in the homestretch.

Now I am just curiouswhat is the second one for? climate control??
