Hello everyone,
Yesterday I was tinkering under the hood of my pickup and repaired the connector to the switch on top of the tstat housing. I was doing some research trying to figure out what this sensor is for and found an old thread where KLF mentioned something about a FPU sensor or fuel pressure up system. Does anyone know exactly what this system does?

Not fuel pressure. The fuel pressure regulator and VSV are at the back of the rocker arm cover. That sensor has something to do with the A/C. I think it will cut the A/C off if the engine gets too hot.

Ok. Thanks for the quick reply Pappy! Ive been searching the internet for a definition of that sensor and really couldn't find anything on it. It's not shown in the 85 FSM that I could see. Not sure if it's in the wiring manual.

Without looking, I think it is buried in the FSM, I think in the back with the AC stuff.
