I can't wait to see Foo climb like this with those portals.

Walked up on this patrol from behind. They look so similar to an 80. Too bad we don't get them stateside

Cool. Whatcha doin' in Paris?

My folks came for some business and I'm here for vacation. I left the states not knowing but a French word or two and with absolutely no expectations for this trip but I've learned a lot. The people are nice and most people know how to speak English. Never knew just how much history this city has to offer.

All that said, I can't wait to be back stateside and eat a cheeseburger prepared on the grill.

Have you ever traveled over here? Any "hole in the wall" must see locations?

You should go have a beer at McDonalds...of all the culture and cool stuff I experienced living in Europe for 10 years, that was one of my favorites.

Haha that's worth it just to say you've had a beer at McDonald's. Anything else? Coming home Saturday morning (Paris time)

Depending on your sense of adventure. They serve horse meat at the local shops. Along with a very expensive variety of cheese. If you can catch a train Amsterdam is a great place to see. North of there is a place called den helder that has a ussr submarine that they have converted into a restaurant. Also on the beach up there is where Napoleon fought one of his wars so lots of artifacts everywhere.

I'll see if I can check out the horse meat (don't have a way to cook it or bring it back but I'll try it if I see it on the menu...my mom might kill me since she loves horses. If j don't make it back, you'll know why)

Amsterdam would be a sweet day trip, as would Normandy. They're both out of question since we're on the final stretch of the trip.

We did see napoleons tomb, though, and it is beautiful. The opulence in the buildings around town is incredible. I've never seen anything like it.

Should have used one of those fancy offroad hitches before re-entry rotation maneuvers?

I've been researching off road trailers. There is a lot of talk about having the same track width. I'd really think there is an easier way than this to measure....

Here we see an early prototype of the roof top tent.
