Camping this weekend - Popup style -Around Kinder Crossing by Happy Jack. HERE is some info on the area and location.

Post up if you are interested and I will post more details if there is any interest.

Distance - 130 miles from my house -
Temp - High 85 Low 52 Always a chance of a short afternoon shower this time of year
Travel condition - Anything can make it. I will be in the mini van aka 100 series pulling the popup:hillbilly: ~5 miles of dirt
Attractions - Fire lookout, swimming, Clear Creek, lakes, quiet, and private

Since I imagine this is a family type trip like you put togehter last year I am in with my two little ones...Looking forward to it! The 116 degrees last saturday killed me, I am ready to get up in the pines!

so whos going to the meeting ? then up....i might just go up . if any one goes up on fri night and sees a light coming down the road its not close encounters . its 650watts of light out of one :hillbilly: fj40
 
I'm going up on Friday around 10AM - noon. :cool:

Driving directions to camping area

Head to Payson and continue north on hwy87 you will pass Pine, Strawberry, Hwy 260 turn off, next on the left is Long Valley. Long Valley has a general store, gas, restaurant, and the last chance for a flushing toilet. From Long Valley continue on Hwy 87 for 11 miles and look for FR 95 and turn right.
Drive for 1.25 miles and on the left turn onto FS 513. In 2 miles you will be in the area we will be camp at.

Look for CSC paper plates :hillbilly:

Saturday The plan is to hike down to East Clear Creek Via Horse Crossing trail and spend the day. Water and sand activities for all ages. If you want to go post up and we will wait. The trail head is mark on the map in the lower right corner if you choose to come and go as you please.

I will meet up with ya at the Camp Site. I'm flying into PHX late tonight, will load the runner up over night and grab a few hours and get the shebang on the road sat AM early (try:D) with 3 year old :princess:, 6 year old boy and myself...

I'll probably see ya when you ge tback from the Hike.

now im really bummed, you know i like my :beer:.... my mom informed me they are taking my grandma up to the cabin next weekend she is 72 an not in the best of health so this might be the last trip up north for her ... gonna make shure the kids an i are up for that one . sorry guys dint have the cash to do both.
