A few folks from Auburn went to Morris Mtn yesterday and on the way out last night.... saw a BLACK BEAR... no lie... 2 even saw him sitting there as we past... it was awesome. First bear I've ever seen in the wild.... saw steaming bear scat and heard one once when mtn biking in Washington... but never layed eyes on one... it was cool.

Just opened up most recent Toyota Trails. Nice article by a name that looked familiar from Mud but I have never met. Mentioned three CLC members who did some neat things. Thanks Deb, Chris and Nolen. Glad to have a CLC sticker on my truck.
I know someone who got unlucky and had the national bears convention on their same cruise ship. They were very flamboyant and lewdly dressed and they all had big gawdy badges proclaiming their bear status. Every straight guy on the ship was walking around like they had just been dropped off in downtown Detroit with slurs painted on their bodies. One straight guy made himself a badge that said "NOT a bear", so the bears complained that it was homophobic, and the ship staff asked him to remove it. He said he would happily remove his badge when everyone else did too, otherwise F.O. The bears would move around the ship in big groups and run everyone else off from wherever they wanted to be - hot tub, entire pool, dance club, etc. I think a lot of folks got their money back after that cruise. Another friend was with his young kids when they had bear day at Disney World. They had to leave after about an hour in the park. Lesson learned - ASK if any large groups/special interest groups are booked for anything you're considering.
