This pulled up at Popeyes next to the shop. Hopefully it starts, I’m allergic to cars from England.

Gotta vent, most of you all have kids or children….. I don’t.

Today, I explain customer needs to setup a truck for pickup Friday to our manufacturing site. Customer service says they cannot setup because material isn’t ready yet or “posted” yet.

I explained correct, but it’s in production now and whatever is made Friday they have to pick up to keep running.
The customer needs basic info, location, address, pallet weights to schedule a truck.

5+ emails later, tells customer not to pick up and I finally called her boss said, so she’s ok shutting plant down…… no, why. Cause she won’t answer the customers basic info he is asking for.

Why does today 20+ generation have to argue and say doesn’t fit in box so world stops…..

Rant over, more coffee.

Who is John Galt?

@Clutchee It's because we have an entire generation who have never had to "think". They have been taught to read a list and if they can't check the boxes all they can do is say sorry, we can't go any farther. I see it so often with government agencies. They hire young folks, they hand them a book with no training. Unfortunately the younger folks also don't care to learn or ask any questions and generally just don't care. They also have been convinced that they are worth entirely more than they are and that company loyalty is not worth it so they just don't care. Basically just a sh!t show for the job market these days.

Can't speak for every kid coming up, but mine has a helluva work ethic (like has 2 jobs as a 14 yo) and genuinely understands the value of a dollar. And she will throw you a bird if you deserve it and also has an uncanny ability to drop a "that's what she said" at the perfect time.

Thanks bud! I know many of my mud friends have raised their kids in much better way, just moment this am I was like WTF…..

Then had that talk with her boss, and then she kindly had her setup the shipment.

Rant over.

Pork Carnitas nachos for dinner

Feeling much better.

Gotta love the “Everyone gets a trophy generation”

Yep, but unfortunately their parents are the ones that ruined them. Kids will figure it out, but mom didn't want her baby upset so... and now they don't know how to take the "L" and mom doesn't realize she created the monster...

Yawl nailed it.

My dad was the one who said, here is task figure it out your way and accomplish it.
I wouldn’t say it was always best but it did get accomplished.

And if anyone wonders why I did biography’s for book reports…. Back then the encyclopedia was great cliff notes.

You work for Sika? We use several of their products for water storage tank work. Sika-fllex comes to mind right off. Cool.

Folks were scared of hitting them, I kept ringing them showing the difference our dampening makes.
