I dig it

6.5ft wide stock ……that has to be like F250

The GX550 I hope will be the cats ass the person that has seen it says it is.
So what will be the setup of that ride? What's the "550" designate? (I guess the same question could be asked of the LX600)

Any idea when the 550 is supposed to be released?

That is just what they are going to call the new GX.

It is to be released late in 23 as a 24. Hence all the BS special editions as they do on the last year of their models.

Occasionally you get that client that is just a pleasure and honor to work with. Could have talked to this guy all day. OGBA.

And left with a gift and a renewed respect for those that have gone before us and given their all for the betterment of their county and countrymen as well as those that continue to give. Can’t imagine a more humble and generous man. He gifted my manager who was also army special forces an awarded medal with wooden box engraved with presidential seal and paper work.

Yes. That a coin for sure. What was given to me.

Edit/update.

Yes it was a repro of his Medal of Honor.
100% silver replica with copy of letter from Nixon. Same carved wooden box with presidential seal and a hand written note from Mr ray.

Either way guy is a true gem.

That a coin.
Yes. Coins have become very popular with the services to the point that most units have their own coins and commanders have personal coins (that they can share/gift very quickly and personally as a thank you).

This has spread to industry too. The company now creates memento coins on our different aircraft and milestones that are available to share back into the services plus employees. In the following picture, the coin in the center was presented me and each member of my mod team that were upgrading F-22s in Alaska. The coins around it are some of the company created coins that I have received.

Yes coins are a military thing. Here’s the home collection. Several boxes at work too

We also swap patches and flags and dang near everything else.

There’s a 4ID CSM coin, several special forces and CIA units, some generals, and my ROTC coin from southern miss (#1500) kinda cool.

Find the Baghdad targeting cell coin. That was an experience.

Google challenge coins. Cool history

The “challenge coin” was born or the history there of in WWII.
The story goes an Army Aviator was shot down over occupied France, his unit prior to departure had made a commemorative unit coin which he had in his flight suit. He was found by ally French soldiers that couldn’t tell whether he was speaking German or English but could tell the writing on the coin was English and they kept him alive to verify he was an ally soldier and not enemy hence the “challenge” part of it.

Upon coining a soldier at a bar if he can not present a coin he owes you a drink, if he can present one you owe him a drink, many have gone as far as to “rank” coins based on rank of officer or level of govt that the coin was received or the award but the basis was truly if one could be presented. I have quite a few in storage, one of which from Sec Def. Rumsfeld.

I’d love to meet that guy.

@FJ60Cam be safe bud. Sounds like things might get a little heavy around your way in the coming days.
