Granted, it IS low-mile, but........

I’m shocked that someone paid $50k for a truck that’s lived in New Jersey. For a north east truck it’s not too bad but there definitely is rust under that one.

Heard there’s a new “attraction “ for Crawl

Just in case seeing 2pac via hologram during the halftime show rekindles the east coast vs west coast flame and you feel the need to invest in some automobile memorabilia…

FYI this is the actual 750il 2pac was shot in. Would love to see what it would do on Bring a Trailer.

That's nuts. I've seen that truck parked in their carport since new (assuming it's the same one...got to be). It's ALWAYS there when I drive by. Saturday morning, when I drove by, it was gone. That's literally the first time I've ever driven by that house and it wasn't there. Later that evening I saw it driving around nearby.

I wonder if the original owner sold it locally and the new owner is just flipping it?

What was it? I don’t have the book of faces

But still clean!! I’d rock it. Not for $10kn

One of the highest auctions I've seen to-date. Granted, they're rare, but.........

@dnp give us the 411 on the Magnum PI car. And yes I know this is a hardtop.

Pros: Lots of fun to drive. IMHO, one of the best looking designs ever (the 288 GTO version is in my personal top 3 best looking cars of all time) That ANSA exhaust would make the flat-plane crank V8 sound great around it's 7,700 redline. The GTB is a prettier car overall vs the GTS, but I'd still prefer the open top. "Shock factor" vs Porsche and others in the late 70's / 80's was outstanding, but in today's world, probably a lot less.

Cons: S T U P I D expensive to maintain!!! Every little part makes Toyota pricing seem like a joke.....and you don't even want to think about the prices of the 15,000 and 30,000 mile services! The one above is a carbureted version, which, while they sound great and have excellent throttle response, they're temperamental (understandable, as there's 4 Webers under that air cleaner). Also, with the cam cover design they had then, when rain water would run off the front of the engine cover, it would get into the spark plug holes of the forward bank, causing all kinds of havoc. (And it's a twin distributor design, so you can lose a whole bank and the only noticeable difference is a lack of power) In '80 they went to EFI on the 2-valve motor, which was better, but they were kinda gutless and were known to burn oil. In '83 they went to a 4-valve head, so the '83-'85 Quattrovalvoles were the best of the bunch.

There are a lot of cons to these cars, because they're expensive to maintain, and the early ones can be temperamental. That being said, when they're running right and you're not having to spend money on them, they're loads of fun to drive and look great. Remember, in most circles, 40,000 miles on a Ferrari - like the one above - is really high miles!

It's not been that long ago that this was a $25,000 car, all day, every day. Like so many others, however, those days are gone. It'll be interesting to see what this one brings. I'm guessing it'll be 6 figures now.

Taken by me from the passenger seat of an '83QV, somewhere between here and Atlanta, circa 1984. Wish we could see the RPMs at that speed. Jim Pace was the driver (R.I.P Jim)
