Greg said it is Will's 80 from Tupelo.

I've got a buddy that is from Australia that wheels King of the Hammers. His name is Ben Napier. We are friends on Facebook.

He hardly ever posts AU wheeling stuff.

This weekend he's somewhere in the outback wheeling and camping.

In a Ford.

I asked why the hell he would not own a Cruiser.

He said "If I want a tractor I'll get a John Deere"

And here's why we'll never see an updated FJ40 body style Land Cruiser.

Credit the same buyers who furiously fired off excited “My new FR-S!” posts in enthusiast forums back in 2012, credit the drift scene, credit the basic goodness of the FR-S. All of them essentially neutered sales because, well, most anyone who lusted after the car has already bought one. You can’t sell the same people the same new car year over year over year.

Anybody have an ih8mud sticker they'd be willing to part with? I'd prefer black, but white would do.

The reason the numbers are declining, is that the car is too underpowered. I toyed with the idea of buying one, and test drove one at Gray Daniels. It handled great, and the driving position and feel from the steering/drivetrain was wonderful. It was extremely underwhelming when I got on the gas a bit.

Its pathetic that Toyota actually thought the 200hp engine would get buyers excited, when your mom's Camry has 268 horsepower.

The BRZ would be such a better car with somewhere in the realm on 300hp. It would also help if they offered a spyder.

I don't disagree, but they are developing a racing series in AUS around this platform. Probably won't affect US sales, but its still nice to see and I'll watch the series if it gets US airtime.

My point above was that our 4x4 community parallels the street/rally racing community in purchasing demographics/patterns. Toyota took a chance on the FR-S (yet split the risk with Subaru) and I doubt they will go down the same path in other vehicle platforms such as the revival of swb live axle offroader.

I would agree to a certain point, but then again, look out how crazy Jeep sales have been over the past few years. I would think that is a pretty big piece of pie that could be shared with Toyota if they were game. Pipe dreams, I know.

Sweet console. Nolen, great vid - made me dizzy but it was very cool. I dig your set up (looks like a great place to live and raise the kiddos). I loved the shot of your son's sneak attack - nicking an egg out of his sister's basket.

The vid below is more "chat" related than cars, but since you guys like projects, I thought some of you might enjoy this "vintage boat build" from a couple years ago; Also, it is very much "land cruiser" related, because it is being sold to fund some bumpers and a roof rack for the 60 (yes, I am pretty much all in with the sickness) :) Also, my old 100 makes a cameo appearance.
