I don't have enough people that pretend they like me just to hang around Julie to make something like that worthwhile.....

Yeah, it's overkill, but I drive a LandCruiser

20" is the minimum length and 1/4" pipe is minimum thickness if you are going to get a traditional smoker with box.
You can get it dumb'd down for a little over $1k

I am needing a grill and smoker combo

Are those trails passable by trucks? It would be a fun club ride if so to do some of the trail.

Yes. Pretty much all the way till NM or NV. Then it gets tight.

I agree on the 1/4" but only on the firebox. That's overkill for the smoker and grill section. Just makes the doors too heavy. I have built a bunch of them out of old air compressor tanks with a wall thickness of about .187" and think that's just about right.
