I want to convert from a Holley 2bbl to an OEM carb. the City Racer seems like the best option. We are working with a cable throttle cable on a 2F engine. When I contacted City Racer, he said the difficulties will be:
You'll have to overcome two hurdles. One is hooking up the cable to the carburetor's throttle linkage. This photo shows how it's done. The bracket is the piece that's hard to come by, since you don't have the original carb to pick off from.
The second hurdle is the carb insulator under the carb. Chances are the original piece was tossed when they installed the Holley. SOR sells a reproduction. Search for their item # 042-02D-REP.
We are missing all of the parts in the below picture as well as the carb insulator. I have no idea how hard it will be to source those parts (Excluding the $140 carb insulator from SOR).
Or if there is a better option out there.
