So after a long conversion process and finally getting everything on and all old brackets off and many trips to the parts store for belts and miscellaneous parts. I get the pump on hooked up looks beautiful bleed the lines even though I know my fluid was good Jack the front end up start to turn the wheels then all the sudden the squealing starts get my wife in the truck and turn the wheels as I watch the pump and the actual pump shaft is coming to a stop along with the pulley causing it to squeal anyone have any ideas?

Well the line only goes in to the pump one way then the the steering box. Then a return line is threaded on the box side and slipped on the pump with hose clamp. And the pulley spins fine without the belt on it and even with the truck at idle the pull is spins perfect but when you touch the steering wheel to turn the wheels boom start to squeel and starts to stop turning like some one is holding the brakes. Theoretically speaking because there's no brakes on a power steering pump.

Try jacking both front wheels off the ground. With engine off, turn the steering wheel to lock the wheels to one side. Start the car. Try returning the wheels to center with the steering wheel. Try turning wheels all the way from one side to the other.

If that works fine, lower the truck back on the ground & try again. If the pump stalls again, my vote is faulty pump... if the steering was fine before replacing the pump.

As TooTall mentioned, could the lines be reversed? I did that on my diesel swap and it made a similar sound.
