How does it affect the cruise control? A kill switch great idea!

There are several things that cause the cruise control to turn off and/or not turn on. The NSS is one along with the brake pedal switch, the speed sensor(if it is below a certain speed) and I think there may be something else but I can't remember.

Several issues I still have to solve here. Any suggestions are welcome.

1. No backup lights
Changing the AT transmission harness to MT did not solve the problem.

2. Cruise control not working

3. Slight noise when in neutral.
No noise when clutch pedal is depressed.

1) the backup switch is on the gearbox, maybe it is not working. Take the switch out and check if you get continuity when depressing the ball on the inside.

2) don't know. Lynchmob here might know.

3) did you swap in a new throwout bearing?

Cheers

1. I made a new harness using one end from the manual transmission and one left over from the auto to get my reverse lights and dash indicator working. I think there was a picture in my thread.

2. did you put a switch in the NSS? Cruise will not activate with the NSS engaged.

3. How much of a noise? throwout bearing would be the opposite since it is spinning with the clutch depressed. have you checked the oil level on the transmission? mine makes a little noise in neutral, but not more than I would expect with parts spinning in the transmission. Maybe put the transfer in neutral and put it in gear to see how much the noise increases or not.

1. No backup lights

in the main harness goinf to the A442F you will find #14 white wire, provide 12V and you will see your reverse lights coming alive.

then you need to make a simple circuit ( I did using bosh relay ) where you are going to use as activator the ground provided by the manual tranny reverse switch.

Basic Reverse in auto work with live 12V but reverse in the manual work with ground.

3. Slight noise when in neutral.

throuout bearing, kind normal in all cruiser .. even from new ..

When truck is in neutral and the clutch is not depressed there is a rattling sound. Is this normal? Noise disappears when clutch is depressed.

(New OEM flywheel, new Exedy clutch & pressure plate, new OEM throughout & input shaft bearing )

I got same noise , however the clutch I put in recently is apparently not the correct clutch kit and is for a toyota dyno truck,, the clutch importer recons the spline dont match the clutch plate perfectly something to do with anti rattle springs I have have a new kit waiting with cruiser correct part numbers and original thrust bearing as the one in there goes tick tick tick

When I can get help to take out the box I will put the correct kit in with TRD pressure plate hopefully that will quieten it down

rattling sound .. got similar from my tranny ( old tranny with some play in the shaft ) buddy have same kind of sound from aftermaket disc ( splines not that tight on the tranny input of tranny input with some wear on it )

How were you able to drive so fast with the lockers engaged?
Just fake:p The lockers have not work as they shuld last five year :crybaby: Only the CDL is in good shape!!
The light is just one little boring thing, look for the temp and oil pressure .. !
