I have a '69, and I personally like the look without bezel on this truck, so I decided to go trim rings. Personal preference. I bought the more expensive option of CJ trim rings on the market, from summit racing. These:

I was pleasantly surprised when I got them in my hands. These are high high quality cast units, super thick and heavy, not some cheep stamped Chinese garbage.

People ask " Rob how do you prep parts for a build like this? " Simple a drill motor some wire wheels and carb cleaner, wire wheel, spray, wipe down and install. Emma has a motor next 4 speed combo.

I ordered these Electra street Glide Touring motorcycle chrome headlight rings and for what we are building they are perfect. 23 bucks on Amazon Prime. Clutch kit should arrive next week. I am going to have to take a break from Emma for a while we are leaving next week for King of the Motos and help pit for a few friends. Lots of cool stuff happening in the yard with some of the other Cruiser projects

I tried stepping away LOL I had some free time and wanted to get the front end done. I am using some early 40/45 running lights and frames. After drilling a few holes I got everything bolted in. Clutch kit came in today but I need to wait until the following week after our camping trip.

Got to meet up with Georg this morning He came down to deliver a customers 1980 FJ40. And bring me down some 70 Series seats for Emma. Got them mocked up and they are going to be perfect for this build and still Toyota. Thanks Georg @orangefj45
