Dug out the new Heart going into the 25. I picked this up a few years ago. Its a late model 2F, H41 4 speed and split T case with an e brake drum. The story I got was It came in a parts haul from Marv Spector when he was importing stuff from Saudi Arabia. No Smog ports on the head, power steering pump and bracket, its has a really cool oil bath air cleaner. I Believe its a 1983 motor.

Spent sometime cleaning out all the old wiring and misc junk in Emma. Then I realized I need to get busy prepping the 45 for our next Adventure LOL October 19th El Mirage California and a day for Speed runs with the El Mirage Road Runner Club. Emma cleaned up nice I have a plan to get her back on the road.

Fun day with Emma. Started breaking down the 1F for new gaskets and seals, dug out a nice 4 speed combo. Pulled more used parts out and have a few things ordered.

Just a warning if you haven't dropped this in for a test fit. Even though the crossmember looks like it won't be in the way, when you drop it in that parking brake drum will be smack up against it. So count on changing the crossmember. Not a problem for you, just found it funny as that was where the PO of one of mine quit on this exact setup.... and I was able to put the 25 back to stock with no fuss and use the drivetrain in a '74. Also you'd probably want to use a later offset rear axle and stock driveshaft to get rid of the funky angle and not have to deal with the weird flange and long FJ25 carrier.

@Cruiser_Nerd whoever had it before me has the complete 25 tub and fenders already mounted to a 1971 frame. so its already set up. I will get some picture at some point. They did a good job with the body mounts. Its going to look as close to a 25 as I can get it and everything under it will be 1970-74 drive train.

I have a 1958, registered as a 1959 (VIN is 8FJ256882L) that seems mostly original except the carburetor and a few other minor things. It is mostly un-molested from what I can tell, still have the hub caps for it, though they are showing their age. Eng seems to be locked up and soft top is all torn up. Haven't decided on whether to sell or Resto Mod it. If I had the time, I would definitely go Resto Mod in the sense of a newer ENG, drive train and Brake System. But yeah... cool rigs for sure. Love the look of it and would love to be able to jump in and drive it like my other LC's. (BJ40, BJ74, and HZJ75). Have thought out putting the BJ74 Drivetrain on this and dropping a 100 series ENG and Transmission in the BJ74. Will see when I stop working in the next few years if I don't sell it first lol.

@Mungrol what a Great looking rig. That would be Great to see it back on the road. Like I said my plan is just get mine running and enjoy it. There are so few out on the road really getting driven. I will get some pictures today I was finishing up the gasket on the oil pan yesterday on the 500 dollar motor we are using and started going through the box of misc stuff that came with it. I believe I have the original side mirror.

Last few days I have been getting the motor cleaned up and prepped for new gaskets and seals. Finished the oil pan gasket yesterday. I have to say I really do enjoy bringing old motors back to life. Some fresh paint and were going to have a runner.

Very cool! Glad to see the progress.

Its been awhile since I have done anything with Emma, The motor is done but before I can install it I needed to get some work done on the firewall hack. I am not running a booster so today I cut some 1/4 plate and using one of our brake master cylinder adapters I mocked up the master cylinder. I reinforced the backside of the firewall and the plate will weld into place still allowing the master to be removed. I also found something I think I can use to reinstall the firewall support frame they cut out
