Code 71: EGR Failure. (1 Viewer)

Found a rotten/open vacuum line at the EGR valve. Replaced it, cleared the code and went for a drive. Not sure how long it will take to verify the fix. Hopefully this was the only issue.

Any updates? I had the Code 71 on my '92 when I bought it. Ordered the parts that were available still and got it to pass smog, that was about two years ago. I'm coming up on smog again and the code just came back. I'm hoping it's just some rotten vacuum lines...

Stick a jumper wire in the harness side and hide the plugs behind valve cvr or plug it back together with the temp sensor side hollerd out with the wire jumper in still then reset the code

Ended up cleaning it out really good and reset the code. All is well so far!
