I like the extra low profile of these, but I'm wondering if the 75 is worth the extra money? I'm a CB newb... Thanks for any input.

I have 3 free cb's now, 2 don't seem to work... and the other has a range of about 20 ft.... :D

Any CB will have the range of 20' or less if the right antenna is not selected and if it is not tuned. Can't help you with the dif between the to Cobras but as I understand it any cheap CB will be a great CB if it has the proper antenna and it is properly tunned. Put that in reverse and you got crap.

Thanks guys, I think I'll get a good antenna and see if I can get any better performance out of my radios before I sink any $$$ into a new unit...

Hey Jerod, I've had the Cobra 75 for about 10 years & do like the all in one features. That said, I think Canuck is right on...get a quality ant. & then have the CB shop 'tune' the ant. & you will likely be good.
