Coastal Offroad Bumpers?

I have the rear with dual swing out
To be honest the only thing that I dislike is the lack of a locking pin for the swing out. A bit of a pain to gold it while on an incline but it's an easy fix to add a gas strut.
Departure angle is fantastic, quality is great, it doesn't squeak or rattle, it doesn't shake in gravel roads.
It was the obvious choice when I considered pricing + shipping + conversion rate in Canadian $.

Would anyone mind giving me this dimension so I can figure out how wide a ladder could be? I'm looking to have Brandon at coastal bend one up if possible.

I like the gas strut idea too...really don't want to deal with swingouts trying to close on their own. Not sure how to pick the struts out though. I'd imagine some rear hatch ones would probably work, but that wheel and tire/farm jack is a lot of weight on a grade.

Edit: some kind of locking pin would maybe work better in that it would guarantee no movement no matter what the grade. Safety wire on it means it could just be lifted up and stay in place when it's closed.

Are the swing outs for this bumper solid? It seems a little sketchy how they are welded to the vertical plane instead of sitting on the horizontal plane, if that makes sense.

Other than the normal frame and control arms that's exposed, the only thing exposed is the windshield wiper reservoir bottle on the driver's side under the headlight. With this bumper, you remove the factory crash beam and the bumper bolts onto the crash beam mounting points and the tow/recovery hook mounting points under the frame.

You can see the factory skid plate is still mounted to the bottom of the radiator crossmember. The Coastal bumper does not touch this crossmember or the factory skid.

How bright are those Cree lights from Coastal?

I got the lower wattage lights they offer because I wanted to make sure I could run them on the stock fog wiring and they're not terribly bright. Honestly I'm thinking about using them on my zero-turn mower (ended up working a little too late a couple of times) and getting some different 2" pods with a proper fog light cutoff pattern.

You got 24w lights? They are 2" square? I was thinking of the 40w lights, not sure how much brighter they are.

yeah. I've only got one set hooked up on the front end, I'll see if I can get some pics when it's dark again. They help with filling in where the headlight throw is a bit dim, but I don't like that there's no directionality or cut off to them. As for size, maybe they're 3"? I'm not sure, it's whatever CO lists with their bumpers, and it appears to be a pretty standard size for LED lights

Thanks, mate.

Those look pretty much the same, with or without the 24s.
Yeah, camera defaulted to long exposure, both look much brighter than to my eyes in the dark, but you can mostly make out the brightness difference in the area between the car and the bright spot in the low beam pattern. Overall, not disappointed for the $40 or whatever coastal charged for them, but I want something more effective.
