Climber edition

So I have known of this 79-81 pickup sitting at this guys house for sometime now. I have seen it sitting in the same spot for almost 2 years now meanwhile he continues to load the box up with garbage. I now the guy in a round about way so I have been meaning to stop by to see if he want to sell it. I happened to run into him the other day and asked him if he wanted to sell it. His response was nope it's a climber edition. He says he bought it from the original owner and they special ordered it with the climber edition. Is he full of BS or what.

I was in a hurry so I didn't ask. Next time I see him I will ask him. To be honest I expected him to say sure I'd sell it because I never drive it.

He's misled, there's no such thing.
It might be a dealership special, but I think the PO took him for a ride.
If it's an 83 2WD then he might've confused it as a Mojave, those were rare, of course, the fact that it's a Mojave would only matter if it had everything that the package included: SR5 Buckets, Tan carpet, tan door panels, roll bar, SR5 Gate, 5-speed, stereo.

I'm not great with the year yet but I know it has to be between a 79 and 82. It has round headlights. I think that is correct. It is 4wd.

Yes and no. It is painted camo though. I might try to snap a couple pics of it but like I said in my first post, I kinda know the guy in a round about way and I'm not sure if he would like it to much to he sees me out trying to take a couple pics of it. But we'll see.

Sounds like an old loony to me. Maybe he is the one feeding you a line of bull on the Climber edition. Either because he does not want to sell it, or he is trying to get the most from you when he does, because he know you are interested.
