China Wall next weekend. 2/19

So far I have managed to miss the China Wall outing with the club the last two years, and it seems this year will be no different. I have other obligations, I'm on a Broom ball team playing at Trout Haven that weekend. So most likely I will be hobbling around with a bad knee on Monday

Anyone else planning to attend China Wall?

I wanted to go, as long as we can get some more people. What a coincidence, I just lent my elbow pads to a guy I work with so he could play on a broomball tournament for schomer construction. I'm sure it must be next weekend since you don't here about too many broomball tournaments in this neck of the woods. Have fun.

I completed two weeks worth of honey-do / nursery development projects this weekend so I have official permission to go for sure. Hope we have a good turnout!

I've seen a stock 1/2 ton long bed pickup on street tires do China Wall with little trouble. No doubt you are much better equipped.

Snow will be melting fast this week.

I did a run down 363, 363B and 357 on Saturday. I ended up putting chains on when I tried to run up 355. Since I was supposed to take the wife to Cripple Creek I ended up backing out of 355 so I could make it home in time for my date.

I may take off after lunch and drive down towards Lost Creek area, not actually in the wilderness area. There is a place I want to hike into as a possible elk hunting area. May take the .22 for any unlucky rabbits that wander by. If anybody is interested let me know. Will require a few miles of hiking though. Still a bit tentative at this point.

Since I live in Divide and we will be heading West I will wait for the group to catch up to me in Divide instead of driving East to Woodland Park to meet first. I will be expecting the group to come through Divide at 9:15am.
