I did the POR15 treatment last summer on my hundy, by the book . I’m satisfied with it and will do it again on my 80. As with anything paint associated it’s all about the prep work

I did a frame off job and used por 15 and their top coat all of it came out great and was a lot of prep work

No rust, don’t use POR15. To get good results with POR15 also takes loads of prep and you need the right humidity.

Yeah there is some surface rust but I will take a wire brush to it. Mostly I wanted to redo the spring and shock mounts as paint had been worn away. I will post some before and after pics in my build thread and here.

Have had my body shop do an older ford super duty, a 60 series, and my 80 all with POR15. Have been very content with how all three came out. All 3 had atleast some minor rust that was repaired at same time.
