So when and where are we meeting. The Fj guys seem to want to head up there early, which is fine with me. I was thinking that we could meet up north of birmingham some where.

Anyone from Montgomery going to try and make it?

I am going to see if some of us from Montgomery and Auburn can make it up there on Saturday. Just name the time and the place. Maybe we can pick an exit along I65N.

Hopefully I can make it, do you know what time you will be leaving? Howard, are you planning on coming up?

I am hoping to make it, depending on how work goes the rest of the week. I will give you a call.

How about meeting 7:30-8:00 @ exit 271 Fieldstown Rd in Gardendale. Stony is 10 miles off of exit 299 so that should put us out there some where between 8:30 and 9:00. If that doesn't work for every one let me know ( that's an early morning for those south of birmingham)

I really wish you guys would go support Tellico at GSMTR this weekend rather than this... We no longer have an official TLCA event near us anymore and this may very well be the last TLCA event in our area for a very long time.
I realize StoneyLonesome is closer, but.... well you know.
For you stockers, this GSMTR is definitely the event to go to since no major trail riding will be going on.
I'm not trying to piss on your good time, quite the contrary, i'm trying to encourage you to go bigger and head up to Tellico this weekend.... and go to StoneyLonesome some weekend that no TLCA event is taking place. Makes sense right?

As a club trying to obtain a TLCA charter, we should be supporting TLCA events.

Both Land Speeder and bhmmapping have good points.

Supporting Save Tellico and the TLCA are both very important. Like bhmmapping, I am lucky to even get away on Saturday, since I generally have to work on Saturday mornings and I am still not sure if I can make it.

For those of us that could not make GSMTR this year and to show support of Tellico I ask everyone to make a donation to the Rescue Tellico Fund. If I can make it this weekend, I will be collecting donations for Tellico. If I don't, I encourage everyone to make a donation to the Rescue Tellico Fund on line at:

Rescue Tellico Fund

Thank you!

I can meet up whenever. Which place on Fieldstown are we going to meet? The Raceway (I think thats the gas station right off I65), Cracker Barrel, Wal-Mart...? If there are alot of people meeting up, I would say Cracker Barrel or Wal-Mart because everything else around there is rather small.

And if anyone else drives as slow as I do, feel free to join me. I don't think I've gotten my cruiser over 60-65 mph since I first owned it (downhill excluded), so I'll be enjoying the ride under the speed limit and taking in the awesome gas mileage savings.

For those of us with tow rigs, Wal-Mart might be best.

Does everyone/anyone have a CB? I think the smoky mtn cruiser folks use FRS, which I don't have, but I have used the CB on other trips. My sister in law's boyfriend from Nashville is going to be riding with me and I will be meeting them at the exit in Cullman and am trying to figure out how to catch up in the park if I have to wait for them to get there.

No CB for me....Yet (haven't had time to wire one up). Hopefully if no one else going have a CB someones cell will work out there.

I've got a CB...still trying to figure out how to get rid of some electrical noise (what I think is the fuel pump). I've got my 4-wheel drive gremlins fixed (except for the shifter coming out of 4 hi at times) I only have BFG AT right now, waiting on KM2's to get back in stock. May have my winch operational by then or not...depends on how lazy I am.

I'll try to show up...depends on work..(I'm trying to stay afloat in an ever increasing workload environment).

Can share cell phone # by PM.. if would help anyone.

There is truck stop and Jacks, and a couple of Gas stations at the hwy 69 exit (Jasper Exit) off I-65 where you turn west towards the RV park, also a small Mom & Pop style barbque resturant. Local area there is known as Dodge City.

If you are coming down I-65 north of Cullman, don't get off at the Good Hope exit..... take the next exit (Jasper Exit)... Some GPS may track to OLD Hwy 69 which is the wrong road...

We can meet people coming from the north at that exit just let us know when you can make it.

Is the 25.00 fee a per vehicle fee or a per person fee?

I think they are trying to say that for one day its 16.50 for you and your vehicle plus 8.00 for additional people to ride. The 25.00 is if your planing on wheeling both days.

Okay that makes more since. I am bringing my daughter for her first foray into the woods.

That's him's sig line... in other words, he asks that every time he posts, everyone else just ignores him.

I knew what it was just though it'd be a little funny to respond to it since he's in Memphis. The self proclaimed capital of Southern BBQ. Unless you ask the Carolina's.
