If you were to remove the ahc to go to a more normal suspension in an lx470 would a similar year land cruiser center console be a direct fit replacement so that you could eliminate now dead switches for the ahc? I tried searching this up but most of the topics are just on removal or retrofitting the console fridge freezer from jam trucks.

You don't need to swap the console, just remove the AHC button and replace with a filler pocket, looks like a small ashtray/container. @cruiseroutfit carries them.

Even if you aren't a fan of the pocket, there's no reason to swap the console. The Land Cruiser console, just uses a blank panel that's inserted into the "AHC hole".

I don't want to break anything, so should I remove the plastic panels first and remove the tabs or just pull the AHC switch upward?
