So I've had the 80 for about 40 hours. Everything is great, but one thing that bothers me is the center console/armrest. I want a real armrest/center console, similar to the ones found in full size trucks.

To accomidate this the parking brake has to be relocated and modified. I believe the Tundra has the parking brake to the far left of the pedals. One press to engage and a second press to release.

This would free up the extra 4" or so and a used console can be put in after creating a base. This does mean that we would lose the little stub that was meant for who knows what.

Any thoughts?

Airlaird on the 80's list made a retro fit armrest and sold them for a while. Contact him for info. I'd do that before I delved into the demons that would arise with relocating that e-brake...

That sounds like alot of work for a bigger armrest, I would follow Mike's advice and see if Airlaird is still offering his. If it were me I would make my own retrofit armrest to get the size arm rest you are looking for without messing with the ebrake. The relocation you suggest would take a huge amount of fabrication and more than likely a custom ebrake cable combining the two respective ends you would need. Good luck either way and if you go for the gusto post up what you come up with.
