So.... Even LCs that did not have a factory CDL switch, have behind the dash panel a harness for a CDL switch.

So if I remove the radio and dash panels, I will find this harness and that´s where I should start.

Yep, it's in there, in the same little harness as your ECT, and the switch goes right there next to it. The end of the plug is wrapped in foam and has a yellow jumper wire in it, remove that and plug in ur new switch, good to go.

The best thing in my opinion that you guys haven't mentioned is that the CDL will disable the ABS when pushed in High.
Unless you are going to be wheeling in the rocks on tight trails the 7 pin mod is not necessary. I just opened up the dash and plugged in an extra hazard light and now I have a CDL switch that I hit as soon as I leave pavement.

X2. Disabling the ABS is a must on choppy fire roads. The ABS gets fooled thinking your skidding and fights the driver trying to brake effectively.

How easily found is the harness? Any suggestions on where to mount the switch that may be conveniently located/accessible to the harness?

Thanks!

And...the truck in the vid? No D.
