Shortly after that section we were at the end of the trail. A vote was taken and at Charla’s call we headed to the “4 corners” and up a rutted enjoyable short trail. This allowed Bruce, Kevin and Bryan to test out the flex and driving abilities playing in and around the ruts. This is where the second bit of damage was done, Bryan snapped off a mirror against a bank while playing around.
the ruts in places are deep

As you can see I got a bit twisted up coming out of what seemed like an easy hole.
After this we just booted back to the tow rigs, loaded up and off to Atlas Pizza for a well-deserved supper with our fellow cruiser nuts.
Thanks Charla for a great day in the mountains.

Cheers and thanks for following along.

As always thanks for taking us along on you awesome adventure, your pics always amaze me and your story telling is book worthy, only thing we need more of is LJ pics, but I guess it is hard whne you are driving and taking pics of others trucks.

Have you ever thought of making a calender with the best pics from your years adventure I know it would take some time but you could charge 30 or 40 bucks and I know I would want two!

In your experience what are the best all season tires? and what are the best winter tires? are any of these rigs studded up?

still in ahhhh

cheers

That picture of Bruce grinning out the drivers window is classic...

Good write-up and pics. Link from the trail rides section, and you will hit an even wider audience of River Shiver potentials...

Whets my whistle...

Eric, the TLCA has their calander each year so i highly doubt another one would be apprciated.

Thanks Wayne for posting your pictures and providing a most excellent write-up. I had a blast although my camera died after just 6 pics:

i love that first pic, it really shows the off camber section.
the look on Cody's face shows we were not the only ones that enjoyed a day in the hills..

Sounds like a cool trip guys, the pictures are really inspiring, especially since today was the first time I saw my truck since early October (Had to put the flat tire on a jack stand). It really makes me want to go winter wheeling!
Cheers,
Deny

here is some more, that was the most fun in a truck I have had in a long time!

I fell into the same hole 45Kevin is in and thought I was going over, but the cruiser was stable.
I must say I love the BJ70, especially the air suspension seats. :)
I will be out with you guys as much as I can make it.
We also made a convert from my passenger, this was his first wheeling trip, and now is thinking about getting a cruiser, good job guys.
thanks everyone for an awesome day
Ryan
