X2. i was the one who recommended Eric at 1St Call auto haul. i;ve shipped over 30 trucks with him and never had an issue. Usually a little less than everyone else.

I'll update after shipment, but I also recommend Eric. Having some issues with the shipment and he has stepped up even after being paid to help out.

Expect update soon.

fed ex is worth looking into if you are real flexible on the time frame, I did not end up shipping one, but their rates were not bad if you were flexible on the pickup. One thing with any shipper is to make sure they know what you are shipping. Some of the on lines tools do not handle old cars well, they assume an old car is a collector car and needs to be shipped enclosed or with other special treatment. I had to call most of them and tell them it was an old car, but a 100% beater that needed no special treatment at all. I did not want my rust bucket shipped like a perfect 65 corvette for 3 times the cost.

Anyone have any more recent vehicle shipping recommendations ? I'm in the buying mode and will be moving a vehicle to northern Michigan. Also did any of you buy supplemental insurance ? My understanding is the transporter may carry inadequate coverage, does their coverage show with their quote ?
Thanks, ed
