Maybe later? My '70 has the canvas roll.

yes there were 2 different roll styles iirc. The early one had more stuff in it than the later 60's early 70's roll. I'd have to look at some old books to know when the styles changed and the exact differences.

I am sure I have both the early style rolls.......your gonna make me find em I can see :D

oh, before I forget....this are the current hammers you can get from Toyota

Holy duplicate posts, Batman !!!

I went and had a closer look at my tool roll. Inside one of the pockets, I found what's left of the gapping kit. Earlier, I didn't know this was in there. I think a few pieces are missing.

BTW:

If anyone is missing a 14/17 wrench from their roll, ebay auction number 270303353557 has one in it.

The clear pouch is the trouble lamp, not technically in the roll tool kit. 2 attachments with the grease gun.

I know someone asked in the other tread about me taking pics of each tool. Maybe I'll do that tonight if the baby will sleep.

What's the story with the little yellow screwdriver in this pic?

I found the one that came with my kit. It has a whatchmacallit inside the handle. It looks like a fuse or a light (maybe both?). Is this thing a tester of some sort?

yeah, got one of those as well, its a tester of some sort, but I think I tried it and it didnt light up or anything

Here is a different roll up tool bag. It is obviously smaller, and like all of my kits, it came with less than a full complement of tools (yes, I know not all of those are standard!).

Notice too that the largest spanner is 19x22, different from the other canvas roll set.

I don't know whether this is a newer or older set than the ones so far mentioned in this thread, or even if it went with a Land Cruiser.

Here's the parts number list for the major tool roll as per the 1967 Land Cruiser catalog.

I notice that the smallest spanner/wrench of the 6 that go in the clip is 8x9. And, I noticed that the spanner that Wesintl pulled from the engine adjust kit is 8x9 as well.

Which, if correct, would mean that there are two 8x9 wrenches in the tool roll.

That seems odd to me, so I was wondering if someone could doublecheck their kit.

Among other things, I found this 7x8 wrench which is different from the wrenches in the other sets, thinner and without embossed printing on the back. I have wondered if it belonged in the adjust kit.

Also, in my various partial canvas bag kits, I've gotten these two clutch disk alignment tools. Both are marked 16. The black one has "Toyota L.C." on it as well. Neither one is in my 67 parts book.

I have a 7x8 wrench with the 10 digit number on it just like you posted here. It goes in that little vinyl bag. That's the points kit, right? With the gapping tools?

Look at the bottom pic in post #34. I think that that is that little wrench in that vinyl bag.

Ah-ha! That's just what I was asking! Thanks!

In my tool kit I got a hammer and grease gun. I figure a hammer is just a hammer. The porblem with it is it is not a BFH. SO if anyone interested I have a Hammer for sale. New $9. Used Priceless but it is origional, oily, and rusty.
The canvas bag came with it as well. I was thinking of using it for a pattern and making a new one. Anyone else interested?
