Simple question. Is the throttle body gasket meant to be reused or replaced? mine looks like a thin metal gasket. I dont mind replacing it, i just dont have one on hand.

It is not meant to be reused. The FSM has a black diamond next to it, indicating it's a "non-reusable part".

I had to pull my throttle body off to change my injectors. It had only been installed for a month and zero miles. I replaced it. I probably would have reused it since it was so new and clean, but it was a fresh rebuild on the engine. I have a "shop spare" now.

My experience is that you can't clean them effectively without removing all the rubber coating, so you use a new one.

EDIT: Oh yeah, could you please add some simple vehicle info to your signature? For all I know, maybe you could reuse a t-body gasket in a different year than mine. What year?

I have re-used mine a couple times with no issues.

After i posted this i realized i need some vacuum hoses that broke. I will need to replace those before i reinstall the throttle body. So i guess i will order a throttle body gasket also.

Get a new gasket. It's metal and once deformed does not return to original shape.
The hoses can be replaced with standard size hoses.
It's cheap and pick up some hose clamps too.
Make sure not to use coolant hose and get hose made for oil.
Cheap and easy.
Replace the PCV and grommet while your at it.
