I have been wanting to make this trip for a few years now. Hopefully this year I can make it, but still too early to commit.

What do the roads look like? Any issues for a stock cruiser?

I know there has been some work done on the trail going up, and a stock cruiser should make it up no problem.
 
A decent set of off road tires is a good idea.

It looks like the road might have gotten easier with some drainage corrections.

Maybe I can take the Maverick. It would be much better on gas :)
 
I will be heading up to coyote flats Friday and plan on camping nearby with a couple friends but separate from this group. Our plan is to meet up on Friday morning at the I-15 and 76 gas station park and ride at around 8AM

Looks like we are going to have a full crew! Going to be a blast.
 
Sadly I have to travel for work so will miss the meeting Tim will plan the meals and I will update accordingly.

Thursday crew: The plan is to meet at the 15 & 76 park and ride (33.329884, -117.161970) at 8am, with wheels up at 8:15am. Our first planned stop on the road will be Adelanto for Fuel, and that should get us into Bishop where we can refuel again and stop at Vons for last minute supplies. Hope is to hit the bottom of the trail around 3pm. If you are joining us from farther north in Temecula or Murrieta, we will be on the radios through that area so you can meet up with us on the road.
 
Guys post up what you'd like to contribute to the potluck meals so we can have a nice balance.

Just some thoughts:
- Taco Night (Everyone bring toppings / sides to share)
- Meat and Potatoes Night (Everyone go in a a big Tri-Tip and share sides?)
- Burgers/Hot Dogs and Sides Night (Everyone sign up to bring toppings / sides)
- Chicken Curry and Rice (or some other skillet meal - not sure how to divide that up)
- Camp Pizza (Everyone bring toppings and we make pizzas on the Blackstone)

If helpful, I can create a Google Doc Sign up sheet for each night for food sign ups. Let me know!

a google doc sheet would be good. i put up some suggestions in the original post, we can change them to your ideas and assign them to specific nights.

Any other dessert ideas? The kids loved the brownies and cookies I brought last year. I can bring Brrokies and some other treats.
