Just some thoughts:
- Taco Night (Everyone bring toppings / sides to share)
- Meat and Potatoes Night (Everyone go in a a big Tri-Tip and share sides?)
- Burgers/Hot Dogs and Sides Night (Everyone sign up to bring toppings / sides)
- Chicken Curry and Rice (or some other skillet meal - not sure how to divide that up)
- Camp Pizza (Everyone bring toppings and we make pizzas on the Blackstone)

If helpful, I can create a Google Doc Sign up sheet for each night for food sign ups. Let me know!
Did you all agree on the dinner plans? I'd like to let the non-denomenational truck contingent know.

Not yet. Let me work on a Google Sheet for this and we can talk about it tonight at the meeting

Here is a link to dinner sign ups.

Nice! BTW, I will be there tonight!

Unfortunately, Cindy and I will not be attending this run and I think it’s important for this group to know the reason why. At tonight’s club meeting the run was discussed and the topic of campfires was touched upon, it was mentioned that Coyote flats will be in a Stage1 fire restriction. I overheard someone scoff and say there will be fires, this did not sit right with me. After the meeting I spoke to this person and asked if he planed on following the restrictions, his words “There will be fires”

Not for me!

The Inyo National Forest is in a Stage 1 fire restriction from June 22, 2026 until Dec 31, 2026

This conversation is deeply concerning. We need to step back and consider the bigger picture, the very real potential for a fire to escalate beyond anyone's control. If the fire gets away, the consequences could be catastrophic. The liability exposure, damage to our club's reputation, and the negative impact on the entire off-road community would be significant.
When it comes to public lands, restrictions exist for a reason, and it is our responsibility to respect and follow them. Ignoring those rules not only puts people and property at risk, but it also jeopardizes continued access to the areas we all enjoy. We need to exercise sound judgment, take these regulations seriously, and act responsibly to protect both our community and the future of off-roading.

I got 1, possibly 2 propane firepits I can bring, Can anyone bring an extra propane? I can fit one full size.

Folks, I clarified the first post but for those that jump here, this is not a Beach N Toys trip. I should have seen that earlier and if I had would have clarified that at the outset, but old habits die hard and so I did not. This is a friends and family trip to which Beach N Toys members are welcome to attend if they wish. As far as fires, all parties are aware of the restrictions and alternatives have been recommended. All parties, however, attend on their own accord and responsible for themselves.

I have fire pit that you guys can use as well since we are not going to make it.

I'm happy that Frank made the clarification that this is a non-sponsored, non-club event.

Since there are now some newer Beach N' Toys club members, I am just going to throw this out there for transparency and as a reminder to all regarding our club values.

Beach N’ Toys 4x4 club has by-laws and a clear mission to be stewards of the land and to tread lightly. As club members, we are bound by it with no exception. It is our goal to be an example to the public and future off roaders of what proper etiquette and responsibility in the wilderness looks like.

Out of compliance and to be respectful of fellow citizens, Beach N’ Toys club members have an obligation to abide by all Government rules, regulations and restrictions. Those include fire restrictions. We strive to reduce risk and make it a goal to provide the safest environment possible for club members, guests, and the surrounding community. It is our stance on stewardship that attracts new members who feel the same way, and who want to belong to a community that respects, is respected, and gives back.

As a club chapter in good standing with the TLCA, Beach N’ Toys declares that in no shape or form will we sponsor, support, or encourage participation in any event that does not conform with said values or by-laws. Any food, gear, supplies, etc., purchased by any participant in such events is of their own will, and not to be re-imbursed using club funds.

Any person(s) attending non club-sponsored events do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible for their actions and accept any consequences that may arise.
