X2

The Roll-a-Cot is so much lighter and plenty strong for a 300 lb. person. There is no more comfortable or better insulating pad than an ExPed DownMat. Guys that sleep on cots 100+ days per year swear by the ExPed.

I ended up getting the roll a cot wide version...not that i'm all that wide, just like the roominess. I also got the ExPed megamat 10. Used it last weekend for the first time. I was skeptical. I didn't think it would actually be comfortable. The combo is super comfortable...I don't know why I waited so long to get up off the ground!

Can someone show how the Roll a cot breaks down?...didn't see anything on their website. Curious how easily it breaks down and size of it when closed. @cruiserpilot @ewillis
They should have a video on the website. It basically folds in two, so if it's 72" or 6' then it's 3' long in the bag.
Rolls up to about 7-8" around. It's quite light. AS it says, there is a slide over tube inside the material that once you have
opened the side rails flat you then have to sort of stand it up and slide the tube over the connection. It's stupid easy,

UPDATE: I just spent over two weeks sleeping on the 32"x72" green cot with my 1" ThermaRest inside. The tension of
the width can be adjusted, so I loosened mine up ever so slightly. I slept better, longer and MORE comfortably on the cot
in the back of the 60 than on 3" Tallulay Latex Foam mattress worth $400 in my RTT.
My RTT is for sale....

COMMENT: One thing to think about for our trucks, whether SUV or pick up. To fit a cot along the inside requires only a
2 leg cot since the inner wheel well is a huge issue. One of the main reasons I looked originally at CampTime Roll-a-Cot
is they only have one cot with 3 legs. If you've ever gone to Bass Pro / Cabela's , Sportsman Outdoor Warehouse, etc, etc,
I can say I never once saw a cot with only 2 legs. They are all HEAVY with 3 legs. There might be some lighter, somewhere
but I didn't see them when I was looking. So this is a factor, that instead of a bed platform I use light duffel bags, and organize
everything, and soft stuff under my bed that can compress when the cot sags. It was all part of the decision to get one, and
I couldn't be happier or better rested!

Yep, I saw a youtube vid of the cot assembly after I sent that, pretty slick design. Your previous posts are what made me look at roll a cot, the two legged design fits the 60 really well. After measuring I‘d prefer the narrower cot in the back but I know for sure the 32” would be much more comfortable, also need to find and measure my old thermarests to see if they would fit inside the cot sleeve.

Have you used the cot with an Exped type mat on top or just a thermarest tucked inside it?

Both. I’ve tried Exped in my RTT and on the cot. I bought the latex foam after I tried the Exped.
It’s amazing what each individual finds comfortable. For me I might try the Exped with the Thermarest
in a cold camp in November I’m planning, just to see. But I have trouble getting the Exped pressure
just right. I also just use heavy square sleeping bags. Cold isn’t an issue for me, generally but I am
getting to feel it more

Super simple...couple with exped mat and you're golden.
