All last week I saw cool stuff while in traffic on the way home and again yesterday. SO after messing up my phone changing covers I finally switched the cover back to the original and now everything works great. Go figure sometimes that after market stuff is just crap! Damn you eBay....

So anyways some of the things I saw last week was a SWEET 4x4 Econo van with full front and rear bumpers. The side protection was HUGE on the rear bumper. Very Nice.
I also saw an older van that was in super nice condition except for the tail pipe which was totally rusted. So it was just weird to see a beautiful body and paint with a rusted up tail pipe.
Sunday on my way home from the Meet & greet I went as far as Carmel Valley on the coast then jumped onto the 5. A little ways down the road I was passed by a Heep Cherokee in the fast lane and he had is doughnut spare on top just laying on the roof between the racks and a rope going through the center of the wheel. Well at about 75 mph a little doughnut tends to fly up and stand straight up in the wind. Lets just say I didn't have much faith in that rope so I moved over a couple of lanes because I didn't want my truck to eat a doughnut! :whoops:
And then the final straw on getting my lazy but to fix my phone was last ngiht I saw an older 2 dr 4Runner with a full rack and it had a ladder side mounted just behind the passenger door. pretty slick.
So I guess just look forward to future cell phone pics from me and it's a very nice cell camera so the shots should be pretty good quality.

Looking forward to some pics now, but

Well Guess What!
The camera phone has already come in handy.... ;p

I decided to finally go in and get my tires rotated and to get the spare dismounted so that I can get my spare rim chromed so I don't have to pay for dismounts every tire rotation and I can throw my spare on anytime and still be :grinpimp:.

Well anyway while the rig was up on the lift and all four wheels off I noticed a few things.
1.) The whistle when I stop that started yesterday is in fact the need to replace pads. Fortunately the rotors are still OK and they said they can turn them.
2.) I noticed the Slee skid plate gets some pressure from the lift! YIKES! After I freaked because I thought the whole rig was teetering on the skid plate I did notice that the four corners were all touching as well. But still not all that comfortable that it sits on the lift, mostly because I installed it not because of Slee's design.

3.) It looks like my muffler has taken a few hits as well. I'm guessing I did this in Sand Stone Canyon or maybe I did it earlier in the day when I got a bolder caught up around the rear suspension. I don't know, Reid you pulled the boulder out maybe you can tell me. :D

Why Didn't You Tell The Guy To Drop The Lift, And Flip Up The Ends To Give You Another 4" Of Clearance?

First, because all four wheels were already off and being balanced and two because I didn't know they could be flipped. I was wondering why they were designed like that in the first place. Then I realized it's for low vehicles like my old Chevy S-10.

Mark,

You're hurting my feelings :frown:

Don't let your tire shop put brakes on your truck. It doesn't look that they even know how to properly lift your rig.

If I can be of any help, (advice, parts, how-to), with your brake replacement please call. "We put it back together the way Toyota built it."

Please don't interpret this as an unsolicited plug for my shop, simply trying to help a fellow Cruiser owner.

John

No, I am not having them do it... I was just happy to hear that I don't need rotors yet and that it is just pads since money is kinda tight this month. I just go there for my rotation since that is where I bought my tires and I have free rotation and till' now they didn't charge me till yesterday for swapping the two tires since my spare isn't chromed yet.
John if I have you do it do I need to get the pads or just drop it off and pick it up.
