What kind of power can you expect?

I have not dyno'd it and I don't think I will. It is spec'd at 121kw power and 361 Nm torque. It feels extremely powerful-highway hills in 5th gear are no problem and 80 mph is easy with plenty of reserve. The turbo is gated at 10psi and it boosts about 8 at 2000rpm.
cheers,
Jan

you probably got the 2 stages injectors rebuild too .. if not, put that on your list .. congrats nice swap !

That is a great rebuild job. BTW forget the 22 mpg it will be nearer 30mpg although IIRC the stateside gallon is a little smaller than UK gallon? Someone clue me in on that?

Dave

Holy crap that is awesome. Ever since I have owned an 80 I have wanted to do that very thing.

You are right US Gallon = 3.75L Imperial Gallon = 4L

cough cough cough....

1 Imp Gallon = approx 4.5 litres

So, the US gallon is about 20% less capacity that the Imp gallon, therefore US mpg number will be about 20% less than Imp mpg number.

george.

After the HJ60 got sold it was time for a new project. Here it is:

Locked clean 1996 80 series Cruiser,
Fully rebuilt 1HD-T (4.2L 6cyl Toyota turbo diesel)
H151F 5 speed manual transmission, fully rebuilt
HF1A part time transfer case, fully rebuilt

Did all of the components need to be rebuilt, or was it done as a preventative measure?

The combo had about 250k miles on it. It worked fine but I prefer to do things right. Like this i don't have to think about it for another 250k. I did not mention all the small things we replaced on the truck, like tie rods, radiator, wiring...
Cheers

Sorry-i think i replied in a pm.
