I am sure this question has been asked dozens of times, but I promise you I have done my research.
I went to go replace my cabin air filter yesterday to find that the door that all videos were using didn't exist on my 2007 Cruiser. See attached photo.
I did some searching around and found that some models had to get the cabin air filter as an addon (why?) and I believe my model doesnt have one/a door to one. Ive seen multiple people suggesting this:
OEM 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Cabin Air Filter Retrofit kit – Cruiser Patch OEM 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Cabin Air Filter Retrofit kit - https://share.google/JMF8vphCUMRGHsz90
The thing I don't understand is why anyone feels the need to spend 170$ to replace what a 10$ part could be.
I did some ChatGPT research and it said to cut a hole in that panel. I don't want to do that either.
Is it possible that I could pull out that whole assembly and replace the filters (if I even have one) Or am I best not to? Some clarity would help. Thanks
