At Giles(a meteorlogical town) on the WA / NT border, there were 6-7 75 series needing repairs from hard driving from the locals.
Rumour has it the local mechanic, who has gone feral, sells them for parts if they are in his workshop for too long.
I asked him if he had any good spares for sale and he was thinking about selling me one off a customers car,but decided he couldnt get away with it.
If I waited a week ,I could get some from a HJ61 he had bought to flip and was filled with tyres.
The HJ61 had broken down 2000 klms away and was waiting for a truck:eek:

I wanted to takie some pics of the 7* series graveyard but cameras are banned in indigenous communties without written consent

"Gone feral" LOL
Here in Ghana, when I first was here a mate's 80 series had a worn out injection pump... We arranged to "buy" one over the wall at the local dealer - cost about $100!!!!!!!!!!!
Back to the video - yup, always nice to see a well maintained troopy with one careful owner. Scarily similar to the stuff you see here - but..... sometimes the ingenuity is amazing.
