I'd like to reuse the upper half of the OEM fender liner/mud flap. I guess there's not as much of a gap to stick the hose in as I thought there was. But also if it was capped, a lot less mud would get in there to begin with. And I'd think it'd add some strength to that corner piece. idk.

anyone have a picture of them capped?

Sent check last Monday. Additional 1.5% discount for sending a check and not paying with PayPal or cc. I'll take it.

I am still interested int his group-buy if it's still on. I want to clarify a few of the following if anybody can post up some pics:

How are the tabs with the rubber stoppers mounted? Do you have to "break-in" the rubber stopper before it gets easier to close? Does the rubber stopper wear out after time?

What are the general issues with the plunger type deal that he uses for the pin lock system? We don't get snow here in Houston but we do have to deal with the nasty humidity which can cause issues with sub-par hardware

Do the struts help open AND hold the swingout open?

Does the tire carrier allow for angle and height adjustability also (ala 4x4labs)? EDIT: just saw that it is height adjustable.

If I wanted to go back to stock, would the stock rear bumper cover the hole that you have to cut for the hitch? How much do you have to cut out for the hitch receiver? Do you have to climb under the bumper to insert the pin? Can you use the lock type (with a key) pin on the receiver?

Is the CB antenna mount on the end of the swingarm itself near the spindle? How has the reception been with the antenna placed there?

Does the tire carrier move at all when driving? Can you hit the tire carrier and be able to move the tire?

Where does the license plate get relocated to?

On the jerry can basket, can you also fit a cube cooler such as this?

Thanks to all that can answer my plentiful questions! I had a 4x4labs bumper on my 80 and these were some of the complaints (or wants) that I had with that bumper.

What rubber stopper? The tabs that stop the swingout from opening father are welded on tabs I believe.

The issue I hear about is the housing of the pin corroding. Using grease or antiseize on it a couple times a year is supposed to prevent it. And I think Mike's been experimenting with an O-ring there to help seal it.

Yes

The height adjustable tire carrier is $50 extra. It allows you to adjust height and depth. Not angle.

Yes. 2-3" square. I dont know.

You can have him add antenna tabs where ever. I'm having a couple welded to the top of the tire carrier.

Below the spare tire. You might have to install that yourself though.

On the jerry can basket, can you also fit a cube cooler such as this?

Not the way he usually designs it because there is a center upright support that splits the basket in half. But He could probably make a cooler carrier for you.

Do the struts not hold the 4x4labs swing outs open?

The tabs that stop the swingouts when they are held closed. I guess having rubber bumpers isn't really important but they were a source of knocking when the latch wasn't adjusted tight on my 4x4 labs

So his current configuration of jerry can holder can only hold two jerry cans, correct?

If anybody could answer my last question

Klaus - to answer your question, it does, and it was one of my wants and one of the main reasons why I am considering the BIOR

can't believe I almost missed this. Just sent an email, can someone PM me their phone number...not listed on their site.

So I got the oppurtunity to play around with a Slee rear bumper and have decided that I want a BIOR bumper.

When is this group buy over? Can somebody PM the phone number to BIOR since I can't find it on his site?

Include me on that groupbuy also.

I called Mike and we are making a few changes to the bumper, the largest one is adding an additonal jerry can holder for a total of 3 which will also double serve as a holder for my cube ice chest.

I am also opting for the adjustable tire carrier which will hopefully allow me to adjust the tire for more clearance. That side of the rear window is blocked by my fridge anyways.

I got the adjustable tire carrier also. It seems like a nice design. also, the tire carrier part is removable if you you wanted to use it for something else and put the spare back underneath.

Does he have to move the tire over to fit the third jerry can ? Or is it just going to block more of the brake light?
