Your right though, the darkness does strange things to the bumps and humps on the road... It seemed the smallest looking bumps were worse then the big nasty looking ones..

Thanks, had a great time. Darkness adds a nice feel to the trail, and it's always a blessing to see stars. And it's not every day someone brings there own snake to the wilderness...

Oh, the flat tire sucked. After I left for home (and the stereo was turned down) I heard a funny sound from the front. Checked, nothing. Few minutes later the front end was soggy. Front-left tire had a slow leak. Spent a few minutes at the freeway-side gas station & waffle house to change it out. No obvious damage. Monday or Tuesday, off to Discount Tire.

It was a fun run, but you would have spent more time on the highway than the trail, only about 12 miles, 4 hours. Looking forward to Skinwalker!

Lame trip report

All models were represented well last night with 2-80’s, 1-LX450(submarine edition), 1-FJ62, 2-FJ60’s, 1-FJ55, 1-FJ40, 1-T100, and 1-lonely jeep. 10 total if you cant add. No casualties and no damage was noted. Opened the gate to the Bulldog Canyon area via Usery pass around 6:30PM drove for approximately 12 miles and exited the gate (McDowell and Idaho rd) around 10:45. Nighttime always gives an interesting perspective to the trail. Although not overly challenging 4wd was required in some spots and us visually impaired drivers were thankfully for the taillights of others. I look forward to more daytime club actives in this scenic area as the temp begin to cool down. Thanks to all participants and I hope a good time was had by all.

Sounds like a good time was had by all. I wished I could have made it, but I did not even leave Cave Creek until 8:45pm. On a side note when I went back to help strike the A/V equipment and staging for Cave Creek Cares this morning, I found that they had raised a little over $19,000 for the hurricane Katrina victims. They were actually looking at possibly hitting the $27,000 dollar mark with the Sunday football crowd today. Pretty impressive for a town of only 3,500 people if you ask me!

I look forward to seeing everybody Friday night at the meet.

Seeing that snake is way cool-- I haven't seen a coral snake in years. Wait, that is a coral snake -- not a king snake-- right? Red yellow kill a fellow, red black friend of Jack? Or is red yellow, friend of a fellow . . . .

thats funny pitts, i was chanting the same thing that night, another quick identifier is the head, every coral i have seen has a solid black head.
