I like the rims. You'll be able to haul lots of parts and tools with the utility bed.

After orignally reading this thread I did not think much of it.... At this stage I think it kicks ass! Great work, definiately worht the effort.

I think a bright racing orange would look great!

I was actually thinking about an Orange with silver paint job to go along with the factory two tone.

Wife said it would look to muck like Cal Trans trucks.

I also thought about a solid color and doing the SS stripes up the hood and over the cab. Wife said there is nothing Super Sport about it.

Wife likes the old FJ40 color of Toyota desert tan/beige.

When I painted the 60, I wanted mustard yellow but my wife wanted something way brighter. Ended up with a very bright yellow. Now I like bright colored rigs.

Nothing SS about it? Your wife hasn't seen the potential of a Cummins! with a little work, you'll be spanking SS Camaro's all day long :D

the day light pics look even better. My vote is for Camaro racing orange with the SS stripes... Tan wont do it justice.

Nice job & great vision, I couldn't envison it coming together so well.

Not sure about the tan with those wheels. Go with the orange/silver idea. I've always liked that combo.

Nice build!

Dude, this thread rocks...

If you can get your hands on a 1st gen Banks intercooler it looks like it would fit perfectly in there.

What was the orginal color of the cab? Whats the deal with the front springs?

A deep copper color.

What was the orginal color of the cab? Whats the deal with the front springs?

The stock ones would not allow much clearance (-1") between the oil pan to the Dana 60. I needed some clearance so I installed 4" Skyjacker lift springs for a Dodge with a Cummins. I heard they will settle a bit. I have a pretty substantial bumper for the front as well as an 8274 winch. If the springs to not settle down, I will look at shorter ones.

I think with the bumper and the winch you'll have no problem getting them to settle. Have you thought about painting the truck stock colors and scheme? White in the middle right?
